Being relatively new to the area, we are grateful to the community for embracing us and patronizing our restaurant and conference centre. It's a joy to see the retreat groups that come from far and wide enjoying the ambiance, good homestyle cooking and nature trails, the glorious views of rolling Northumberland hills and Lake Ontario, the fire pit at nights and the many hours of star gazing.
We are committed to supporting the community by working together with local charities and non-profit groups. In fact, we extended an open invitation to all non-profit groups to use our meeting spaces free of charge.
Somehow, my varied wealth of professional experience led me to this - encompassing business management, accounting, marketing, restaurant ownership / management and a number of years as a Real Estate Salesperson, not to mention raising 2 wonderful children and 3 pets, a feat in itself.
My personal interest in holistic living, yoga, meditation and building community combined with my professional experience seemed perfect for this which I consider to be a retirement project....being enough to keep me busy for a long, long time.
Ultimately, the vision is to create a "Centre of Light and Healing" that operates under Universal principles and Laws of Spirit, using its profits to serve community, honouring the land and all levels of existence and being an example of living in harmony with the environment.
I feel very privileged to be the one fronting this project but in truth, there are many others who have contributed to bringing this project to where it is today and they continue to support the vision in many ways...tangible and otherwise...
